Tagging allows you to apply higher level categories to your data in order to organize your data in different ways. For example, you might only want to see the data related to specific departments in your company.

This will allow you to filter for the Tags to isolate the data related to the department in question, removing extraneous data that is of no regard to that department. It will also allow you to measure departments against each other using the graphs on the dashboards.

Adding Tags

Tags can be added at the Comment, Topic, or Opinion level.

To add a Tag select the + below the desired Comment, Topic, or Opinion and type it into the field provided. You can add multiple Tags to each Comment, Topic, or Opinion.

If you add a Tag at the Topic or Opinion level, all of the Comments containing that Topic or Opinion will also be tagged.

You can also apply multiple Tags at a time by using the checkbox on the left and the Tag option that appears on the top of the results list once a box has been selected.

Filtering for Tags

You can filter for tagged data using the Tags filter on the left panel.

Managing Tags

Move to the Management page to see all of the Tags that have been applied to your data.

Here you can edit or delete your Tags. Be careful! If you delete a Tag here all corresponding Tags will disappear on the Analytics page.

You can also export your tags and import them into another organization if it is of the same subject matter. This pertains only to tags applied at the topic or opinion level not at the comment level.

Graphing your Tags

Your Tags will appear in exports as well as in the the homepage dashboard, allowing you to build charts based on them.
