Keatext allows you to upload and analyze multiple datasets (sources). Source Filters enable you to analyze your sources individually, together, or in any combination you choose. The flexibility to slice up your data the way you want during text mining has many benefits.

Source Filters are useful when analyzing product reviews on multiple public channels. They allow you to get an overall picture of what people are saying about your company, service or product. They also enable you to drill down and compare data sources to see how you are being discussed on each channel, allowing you to tailor your message as necessary.

Source Filters come in handy when analyzing surveys. You can choose to analyze each question separately or in thematic groups.

Accessing Source Filters

To access the Source Filters select the Filters button at the top left of the workspace. A panel will appear. At the top of the panel, under Analyzed Sources, you will see all of the data sources that have been uploaded to your Keatext account.

Activate Source Filters by clicking the checkbox beside each source in the Analysis Filters panel.

Segmenting Sources

When you upload a data source, you choose which columns containing unstructured feedback data you wish to analyze. This column selection is mirrored under each source, allowing you to filter the columns you would like to include in your analysis. For example, if you have a survey, you can analyze each question separately.

Select the”^” to the right of the source to reveal the columns you can choose from.

The next time you conduct an analysis try to use Source Filters to gain a different perspective on your data.
