Choosing a time range
There are two ways to filter for time on the Analysis page. You can use the Time Filter at the top right of the workspace or you can use your Record Filters.
Using the Time Filter
The Time Filter is only available if your data contains time stamps AND if the Collection Date was set on the Sources page during the upload.
If the Time Filter options are not available, you may need to re-upload the data. Alternatively, you could use Record Filters to filter for time. More on Uploading Data here.
At the top of the Analysis page you can select the specific time range you want to look at. The default setting is "all time", meaning you start by looking at the entire time range, from the earliest date in the dataset to the most current.
Once you select a time range (other than “all time”) the system will highlight trends by comparing to the previous period. If there are significant changes, an icon will be displayed in the status column.

Custom time range
You can choose a specific time with the "custom" setting.
This will display a calendar where you can select the date or input it manually (DD/MM/YYYY format).
Once you click "Go", your results will be filtered with the time range you selected.

It's also possible to compare custom time periods by ticking the "Compare" checkbox.
When checked, the system will automatically select the same amount of days in the previous period for comparison.
Pressing "Go" will trigger the stats to show the comparison.
Note that the software gives you full freedom to choose any time range you want. The stats are a simple count and comparison, with no additional normalization. Depending on your use case you will need to decide which time ranges make the most sense to you.
Choosing ranges for solicited vs unsolicited feedback.
Solicited feedback - Let's assume you run a survey every year and want to compare feedback. In this scenario, choose the time range of the two campaigns, even if the time range differs, especially if the amount of feedback is comparable.
Unsolicited feedback - If you're monitoring feedback that came organically from social media and would like to do a comparison, we recommend using ranges of the same length of time.
Filtering time ranges using a Record Filter
Advanced users may wish to use a Record Filter to filter date ranges. Record filters are applied to a single dataset. The name is taken directly from the columns in the original dataset. Be sure to label your columns clearly. This filter can be applied to any date field, even if it was not originally set as primary date.
Record Filters for time ranges offer many options from “is” (a specific period) to choosing a date range after, before or between, ect.
