The Analysis page displays your data in list format. The data can be viewed as Comments, Topics, or Opinions. Let’s take a closer look at the different elements on the Analysis page.

Top Navigation

  • Filters - This opens to reveal a panel allowing you to filter your data. Learn more about filtering possibilities here.

  • Records - This shows how many records are currently selected for analysis and the total number of records imported - from all sources.

  • Share - This allows you to share a Filterset with others who do not have a Keatext subscription.

Comments Overview

  • Sentiment filters - These filters allow you to see the different categories of textual data: Praises, Problems, Suggestions, and Questions. Select to include results based on the sentiment category. Read more about this here.

  • Date range filter - You can filter by choosing the desired time period for your analysis. Read more about this here.

Filter Panel

Select "Filters" at the top left of the top navigation. This opens to reveal a panel allowing you to filter your data.

  • Filterset dropdown - Toggle between saved filtersets with ease using the dropdown.

  • Analyzed Sources - Choose the Sources, and fields within them, that you'd like to display on the Analysis page.

  • Record Filters - Filter by the metadata contained in your dataset using Record filters. If your dataset includes dates, choose that variable in your Records filter to isolate time periods.

  • Tags - Filter by Tags (if you have previously applied them).

  • Advanced filters - allow you to include Comment without opinions or Opinion only results in your results list as well as toggling to your Blacklist to see hidden Comments.

  • Expression frequency - allows you to filter for comments that occur above or below a chosen frequency.

  • Search - Use the Search filter to isolate Topics or Opinions.

Once you have set all your desired filters, select save at the top of the panel to save your filterset to come back to it easily at any time.

Results list

Comments that have the same meaning (with the same Topic, Opinion and Sentiment) are grouped together in the results list.

  • Checkbox - This is an interactive column where you can either select all or click on individual results. Clicking here opens a menu where you can hide or Tag selected items. Tags in this example are based on customer journey steps and include "food" and "customer service".

  • Comment - This is a Comment that represents the comment group. Comments contained in the group will have the same meaning i.e. the same Topic and Opinion paring along with the same sentiment.

  • Sentiment - Each result is labeled with the sentiment category it's been assigned to (Praise, Problem, Suggestion, or Question).

  • Comments - This column displays the number of comments associated with this representative comment.

  • Tags - if you have applied any tags you will find them under each Comment.
